How to choose the right towel

Weight per dozen (lb/dz) is the scale weight of 12 towels and is the quickest way to compare towels of the same size. Bath towels around 8 to 10.5 lb/dz (24×48 to 24×50) are economy-to-midscale weights that dry fast and keep laundry costs down. Around 13.5 to 17 lb/dz, usually in 25×54 to 27×56 sizes, give a thicker, plusher feel for upscale rooms, and 18 lb/dz and above suits luxury and resort properties.
